Goldberg and Dolph Ziggler got fans talking earlier this month when they had a confrontation at the Andiamo Italian Steakhouse in Las Vegas. While it was clearly a set-up, it still got fans talking and there's since been a lot of speculation online that there could be a SummerSlam rematch in the cards.

Well, in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has made it clear that there are currently no plans to address this incident on television or continue the feud between the two.

It's been said that RAW Executive Director Paul Heyman is keen to use Goldberg as an occasional character who comes in and destroys people so chances are he'll have a fresh opponent each time. There's even been talk of this being Goldberg's new role for a number of years before potentially giving that to Brock Lesnar once he's done.

This is similar to how Bruno Sammartino was used back when Bob Backlund was champion.
