WWE's annual Tribute to the Troops continues to be one of the company's most popular events, and the filming and air dates for this year's show have now been officially announced.
The TTTP has been held in December during the holiday season since 2003, and was devised as a way to honor and entertain United States Armed Forces members serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. The 16th annual celebration will actually be held today at Fort Hood, and will air as a two-hour special on Thursday, Dec. 20 at 9/8c on USA Network.
The show will feature a special appearance from former Daily Show host John Stewart.
“It is an honor to celebrate our servicemen and women for their unwavering commitment and sacrifice to our country,” said Vince McMahon, WWE Chairman & CEO. “We are proud to return to Fort Hood and continue WWE’s Tribute to the Troops tradition for the 16th consecutive year.”
