We heard reports that a new stable was set to debut on Raw last night, and while the big reveal was more than a tad disappointing, we did indeed see a group of mysterious Superstars in a (very) brief segment towards the end of the episode.
The show was plagued with technical difficulties, with lights flickering and mics failing etc. Later on, we saw a brief clip of a bunch of figures in black throwing Molotov cocktails at an electrical generator while shouting stuff like, "sick of this shit." There appeared to be at least two women in the group.
Now, WWE has officially announced the name of this new faction.
WWE.com has learned that the faction behind the attack is calling themselves RETRIBUTION. Little else is known about RETRIBUTION, aside from the fact that causing chaos seems to be their sole motivation.
None of the members were named, but "Retribution" seems to suggest that the group is going to be made up of people holding a grudge against WWE, possibly about how they've been treated in the past by Vince McMahon and creative? That's one theory, and if it means thing will genuinely be shaken up while giving underutilized talent a chance to shine, we're definitely on board.
