WWE Has Pulled Charlotte Flair From Media Appearances This Week Following Clash With Becky Lynch

SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair was supposed to do a number of media appearances this week, but the plug has been pulled on those in the wake of her backstage clash with Becky Lynch. Check it out...

During last Friday's episode of SmackDown, Charlotte Flair went off-script during a segment with Becky Lynch in an effort to protect her character. That led to backstage arguments with Lynch and Sonya Deville, and The Queen was eventually escorted from the building by security.

Flair was supposed to do a number of media appearances this week, and you have to believe she'd have been asked about what happened. Well, in an effort to prevent that, she's been pulled from them.

It's certainly going to be interesting seeing whether the SmackDown Women's Champion appears during Friday's episode, though we've heard nothing about her being punished in any way. We do know that Vince McMahon wasn't happy with Flair not talking to him about her issues, but she's too big a star to be penalised in any significant sort of way (there's no way she's getting fired and heading to AEW).

Knowing WWE, it's likely they'll try and turn what happened into a storyline, especially as it will build excitement for Lynch vs. Flair at Survivor Series. However, whether both women will actually want to work together is another matter altogether (it could break down into a real fight like with Flair and Nia Jax).

Keep checking back here for updates.
