WWE has shaken things up in front of the camera with the "Wild Card" rule but it turns out that some huge changes have been made behind the scenes as well. According to Fightful, RAW lead writer Ryan Callahan has been fired after working for the company for several years.
He worked in the Stamford offices as part of the "home" team of writers and it's said that the decision to let him go had nothing to do with those declining ratings. Instead, he reportedly had issues with Dave Kapoor (a.k.a. Ranjin Singh) who told management that Callahan took creative changes too personally and became hard to work with as a result.
This situation sounds similar to what happened to Road Dogg and it's still not clear what his role in the company will be if and when he returns.
WWE has made a lot of changes with its creative team in recent months but it's too soon to say whether that will improve what we see on RAW.
