Say what you will about The Miz but he's a steady hand in the ring and is someone WWE can trust to take care of media appearances, starring in its direct-to-DVD movies, and generally entertaining fans.

It was always The Miz's dream to wrestle in WWE and it's easy to see why he's now said yes to signing a new contract with the company. According to a new report, he's been signed to a new four-year deal which will keep him with WWE until at least 2022. Interestingly, Vince McMahon reportedly wanted to sign him to an even lengthier contract but The Miz ultimately had to meet them in the middle.

You'd think The Miz would want to stick around as long as possible but there's no bargaining power in a contract that's too long and it would be easy to imagine him getting an even more profitable deal come 2022. The question is, does this mean we're going to see the A-Lister get a significant push in the coming months? It would certainly be interesting to put him back in the world title picture!
