Clash of Champions has been rescheduled.
According to PWInsider, the annual pay-per-view has been moved to Sunday, September 27. Originally, Clash of Champions was set for September 20. The current plan is for the pay-per-view to take place inside of the ThunderDome at Amway Center in Orlando. There’s no reason why the company opted to move the show a week back.
The yearly pay-per-view features every champion on the main roster defending their respective titles. Last year, Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler beat Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman for the Raw Tag Team Titles, Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks ended in a disqualification for the RAW Women’s Championship, and Kofi Kingston and Seth Rollins retained the WWE and Universal Championships in their respective matches.
At the moment, there’s no word on what matches will take place at this year’s show. Going in, Drew McIntyre, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, Asuka, Bayley, The Street Profits, Jeff Hardy, Apollo Crews, and Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro all hold titles. Of course, champions can change between now and September 27.
