Asuka has been directionless in recent months but she finally made her return to SmackDown Live last Tuesday when she arrived to help defend Naomi from an attack by Billie Kay and Peyton Royce.

There have been rumours that WWE might be planning to turn Asuka heel but according to Bryan Alvarez on yesterday's edition of Wrestling Observer Live, that's no longer going to happen. It could be because Becky Lynch has been turned but there were definitely talks about it happening in WWE before something changed that. What that will be isn't clear but it may involve future plans for Asuka. 

We'll just have to wait and see but most fans will no doubt just be happy to see that Asuka is back on television after being pretty much forgotten about since WrestleMania when she was being pushed as a top star.
