WWE made a slight change this week by holding not one but two dark main events after SmackDown Live and 205 Live went off the air. The first saw SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley retain her title over Charlotte Flair by pinfall.

The Queen dominated most of the match but a Bayley-to-Belly suplex put her down for the 1-2-3. Flair didn't actually appear on SmackDown Live but did come out during a commercial break in order to set up the match. The second bout featured WWE Champion Kofi Kingston once again squaring off with Dolph Ziggler.

Described as a great 15 minute match by those in attendance, Ziggler lost by DQ after hitting Kingston with a kendo stick. However, The New Day member was left standing tall to end the show.

It could be that WWE was trying to get fans to stick around for 205 Live, hence why they chose to do two dark main events instead of one. Sadly, it doesn't seem as if that worked because photos doing the rounds online have shown a mostly empty arena!
