It's been revealed today that the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has decided to strip Tito Ortiz of his win over former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio/Alberto Del Patron following their MMA fight last December during the Combate Americas PPV.

According to MMA Junkie, the result of the fight has been changed to a no-decision, and the result is now "pending a further investigation." It's possible that the win will be given back to him, but it will obviously be very interesting finding out what the story is here, and whether this has any impact on Ortiz's hopes to potentially join WWE.

In the fight, Ortiz dominated De Patron and forced him to submit to a rear-naked chokehold during the first round. While Combate Americas later admitted that their first PPV didn't do particularly well, Ortiz does have a deal to fight for the promotion at least once more.
