This October, we can expect the wrestling war between WWE and All Elite Wrestling to heat up in a major way (especially if AEW's weekly show really does end up facing NXT on FS1). Now, Dave Meltzer is reporting in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE has tried bringing a number of wrestlers into the fold in a bid to hurt AEW.

These are people they've previously had no interest in but things have changed because they would rather not see them as part of AEW.

It's said that WWE spoke to Joey Ryan a number of months ago and given his non-PG gimmick, that is a surprise. Whatever they offered him wasn't enough, though, as he reportedly turned them down. LAX with Konnan is another hot act and both AEW and WWE have been vying for his attention.

In the past, WWE has had zero interest in him for political reasons but it seems as if they're willing to be a bit more forgiving now there's another wrestling war on the horizon.
