Survivor Series frequently features RAW vs. SmackDown matches, and while it was previously reported that the show would revolve around a WWE vs. Retribution match, that seems unlikely given the way the faction has been booked recently (and how poorly fans have responded to them).
Now, Dave Meltzer is reporting that there has been talk in WWE of booking a match pitting WWE Champion Drew McIntyre against Universal Champion Roman Reigns. That obviously spoils the outcome of tonight's Hell in a Cell PPV, but no plans have been set in stone as of yet, so things could have already change...or will change over the coming weeks!
"Look at that babyface roster, literally Roman Reigns, they got to keep doing this Jey Uso thing because they got nothing," Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio. "There is nobody for Roman Reigns to face. I know there is talk of Roman and McIntyre for Survivor Series, which I would not make that match."
It will be interesting seeing how Survivor Series takes shape over the coming weeks, as there haven't really been very many rumours about what's to come beyond this one.
Would you be on board with Reigns vs. McIntyre at the upcoming PPV?
