Former Lucha Underground Champion Angelico is currently a free agent and sources claim that the WWE has huge interest in him. Angelico announced his departure from the LU back in April.

Apparently, WWE has been speaking to Angelico on-and-off for the past several years, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. His deal with Lucha Underground was keeping him from furthering movement with the WWE– but that’s no longer the case.

Angelico started his career back in 2007 for WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T’s now-defunct Pro Wrestling Alliance: Africa promotion. In the years following, he has worked for promotions such as Lucha Underground, AAA, Westside Xtreme Wrestling, and PWG.
