There are conflicting reports about WWE's plans for future episodes of RAW, NXT, and SmackDown, as the WrestleVotes Twitter account recently reported that the upcoming April 10th and April 13th episodes of SmackDown and RAW will air live from the WWE Performance Center.
Now, Fightful Select is claiming that WWE is actually planning to tape a ton of content later this week. The company reportedly told Superstars their plan on Monday night (RAW was pre-taped).
The tentative plan is to film three episodes of the two flagship shows and multiple instalments of NXT between this Friday and next Thursday. That would give WWE several weeks of content in case filming is unable to take place moving forward due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has put pretty much every other TV show on hold.
We just need to hope that these planned episodes are a little better than the RAW after WrestleMania. That was made up almost entirely of squash matches as main roster talent took out little known wrestlers from NXT, something which didn't really do anyone involved any favours.
However, with few Superstars on hand, WWE could be forced to make this the new norm, something which stands a chance of running fans off in the weeks to come.
