WWE has finally allowed Kevin Owens to turn babyface and on this past Tuesday's episode of SmackDown Live, he delivered a CM Punk-style "pipe bomb" promo in which he tore into Shane McMahon for taking away TV time from the likes of Asuka, Kairi Sane, Ali, Buddy Murphy, and more.

Well, it may not be a coincidence that Owens is using the Stone Cold Stunner and according to Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, the idea within WWE is to portray KO as a Steve Austin-like babyface character.

Owens has been vocal about wanting to portray a babyface and the signs are now pointing to him being the one to take out Shane once and for all.

This is a smart move on WWE's part and considering how popular Owens has always been as a heel, there's no reason to suspect that he won't have a terrific run as a babyface. How do you guys feel about this news? Let us know in the comments section below.
