A couple of weeks ago, WWE released a huge number of Superstars and behind the scenes producers, and there's a lot of uncertainty surrounding whether more cuts are coming. The company has been forced to make some huge budget cuts, and even though WWE has been deemed an "essential business" in Orlando, Florida, they're still making a loss.
Ticket sales are obviously zero right now, and with the uncertain financial situation, you have to believe people aren't buying anywhere near as many pieces of merchandise through WWE's website.
Now, though, a surprising new rumour claims that WWE is no longer looking to lock up talent for several years in big money deals; in fact, it's said that anyone who asks for their release right now is pretty much guaranteed to get it, and that's unprecedented given the way WWE has been looking to stop wrestlers from jumping ship to companies like All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling.
The question is, does anyone want to be released given what's happening in the world right now?
