Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is in the midst of a record-breaking title run and is, without a doubt, WWE's biggest star.
This is quite the contrast to when WWE wanted him in that position, but ever since he turned heel and went from being the Big Dog to the Head of the Table, Reigns has been unstoppable. While we may have an idea about who is ultimately going to stop him, WWE's 2023 plans for the champion have started coming into focus.
During tomorrow night's Night of Champions PLE, Reigns will team with Solo Sikoa to battle Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn for their Undisputed Tag Team Championships. He won't, however, defend his world title.
Well, that's about to change because, in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reveals that the Tribal Chief is being lined up to put the belt on the line at both Money in the Bank and SummerSlam.
In terms of his opponents, Meltzer threw out names like The Usos and Bobby Lashley, all of whom seem likely.
Money in the Bank takes place in England, but with Drew McIntyre now part of RAW, a rematch for him is doubtful (especially as his WWE future is so uncertain). Still, it's good to know we'll see more of Reigns this summer than initially expected as we'd previously heard he might be taking more time off.
There have been rumblings about Austin Theory losing the United States Championship to set up a much bigger storyline, but unless the plan is for him to turn babyface, he's an unlikely challenger for Reigns' titles.
For what it's worth, WWE definitely wants fans to believe he'll hold all the gold after tomorrow night...
