Despite being in the beginning stages of a rivalry with Big E on SmackDown, Aleister Black was among those released by WWE at the beginning of this month.
He's since talked positively about his experiences with the company, a surprise when they released his wife, booked him in an abysmal way, and proceeded to fire him around ten days after his return to the blue brand. Many have argued that Black is naive and has bought into the WWE machine, while others have suggested that he's simply hoping to be re-hired.
If that happens, it wouldn't be the first time WWE has released a talent and hired them back for less money!
Regardless, PW Insider is now reporting "that in certain corners of the company, there’s been some talk that Aleister Black was cut prematurely and a push that the company should bring him back in."
There's no word on whether this will happen, but it was added that "there’s been a feeling that of everyone Black was cut too soon and was more the victim of broken promises and start/stop creative more than of anything that he did."
Right now, Black's only post-WWE booking is at the Big Event convention on Saturday, November 13 in East Elmhurst, NY, from the LaGuardia Airport Marriott. If that's cancelled in the coming weeks, WWE may indeed have plans to bring Black back, but we'll obviously just have to wait and see.
