WWE May Have Future Plans For Goldberg After His SUMMERSLAM Match Against Dolph Ziggler

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE may have plans for Goldberg beyond SummerSlam. The WWE Hall of Famer returned at Super ShowDown earlier this year for a match that was met with overwhelmingly negative reviews after he concussed himself and very nearly injured The Undertaker.

Well, once he's finished with the Showoff, what's next for Goldberg?

Apparently, the idea is to push Goldberg similar to how Bruno Sammartino was booked near the end of his career as a top guy who appears once or twice a year for a grudge match which will be made to feel like a big deal. There's certainly a lot of excitement surrounding his bout with Ziggler, so this really isn't the worst idea on WWE's part!

Who else he could face remains to be seen but the man who retires Goldberg will receive quite the rub, especially if he is built up to be a monster over the coming months.
