WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW Highlights For August 12, 2019: Miz VS Ziggler, McIntyre VS Alexander And More

The latest edition of WWE Monday Night Raw for August 12, 2019 took place at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario.

Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who might have missed it:

— Seth Rollins opened the show with a promo about winning the Universal Championship at SummerSlam. The O.C. interrupted and AJ Styles challenged him to a match to prove that he's the better champion, which Rollins accepted.

— After The Street Profits coaxed Sami Zayn into making fun of Samoa Joe right in front of him, Joe then defeated Zayn by submission. Joe then reiterated that while he forgives Roman Reigns, he doesn't forgive the WWE Universe for accusing him of attacking Reigns.

— The King of the Ring tournament was announced to make its return next week on Raw.

— The Miz defeated Dolph Ziggler by submission

— Elias was interrupted by Ricochet, who then beat him in a match by pinfall.

— 2-out-of-3 Falls Match: Andrade defeated Rey Mysterio by a 2-0 score. Mysterio was very distraught after the match about having lost like that.

— Drew McIntyre defeated Cedric Alexander by pinfall

— Robert Roode defeated No Way Jose by pinfall.

— The Revival vs. The Lucha House Party was a no-contest as some chaos around the 24/7 Championship got in the way. The Revival pinned R-Truth to become co-champions. R-Truth pinned Scott Dawson to win the title back and ran away from Dash Wilder. Elias then hit R-Truth with a guitar backstage to win the title.

— Natalya talked about how she had a dream last night that her father was proud of her, and started to talk about how it has been one year since his passing, before Sasha Banks interrupted. The Boss turned heel by attacking Natalya, and even after Becky Lynch tried to help out, Banks took out The Man, too.

— The Viking Raiders squashed Carter Mason Sebastian Suave by pinfall

— Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross retained the Women's Tag Team Championship over The Kabuki Warriors by pinfall

— Seth Rollins defeated AJ Styles by disqualification due to interference from Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. Ricochet tried to come to the rescue for Rollins, but wasn't able to overcome The O.C. Braun Strowman then stormed the ring and took them out and handed the Universal Championship to Rollins as a sign of respect. They shook hands to end the night.
