The latest edition of WWE Monday Night Raw for December 23, 2019 was recorded in advance on December 16th at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.
Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who might have missed it:
— No Disqualification Match: Kevin Owens defeated Mojo Rawley by pinfall. After the match, Owens called out Seth Rollins and AOP. When a fight broke out, the numbers game was too much for Owens.
— R-Truth was confused, thinking he was invited to see The Rock's Christmas tree, rather than Rockefeller Center tree. In the confusion, Akira Tozawa pinned him to win the 24/7 Championship.
— Bobby Lashley defeated Cedric Alexander by pinfall.
— Drew McIntyre defeated Zack Ryder by pinfall. McIntyre also took out Curt Hawkins after the match, grabbed a microphone and said that was his definition of fun and 2020 belongs to him.
— Becky Lynch cut a promo on how Asuka is the one person to beat her fair and square, so that means she has a debt to collect. Asuka accepted the challenge with the phrase "Asuka two belts." Becky responded "name the time and place."
— Aleister Black defeated Deonn Rusman by pinfall in a total squash with basically just the Black Mass.
— Buddy Murphy defeated Joeasa by pinfall in a total squash as well, just hitting his two signature maneuvers.
— Black and Murphy, who will fight each other next week on Raw, had a face-to-face stare down. Black nailed him with a Black Mass.
— Ricochet defeated Tony Nese by pinfall.
— Charlotte Flair defeated NXT's Chelsea Green by submission with the Figure Eight.
— Akira Tozawa lost the 24/7 Championship to Santa Claus.
— Another vignette for Liv Morgan aired, revolving around her saying she's going to take back all the power in deciding who she is, and she's anything but typical.
— The O.C. defeated Randy Orton and The Viking Raiders by pinfall.
— Erick Rowan defeated Travis Horn by pinfall.
— Santa Claus lost the 24/7 Championship back to R-Truth. Referee John Cone then left, as it's too cold to be doing this on the holidays. R-Truth and Akira Tozawa called a truce and went looking for "that big apple" around the New York area.
— Rusev cut a promo on how letting Bobby Lashley marry Lana is the worst thing he could do to him and that even their wedding day will be Rusev Day. Rusev then defeated No Way Jose by pinfall and partied off with Jose and his conga line crew.
— Rey Mysterio retained the United States Championship over Seth Rollins by disqualification due to interference from AOP. As they went to put Mysterio through the commentary table, Samoa Joe refused to get up for them. As a result, they attacked Joe and Mysterio finished the show with a stomp to Mysterio before AOP slammed Joe through the table.
