WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW Highlights For October 22, 2018: Tag Team Championship Match, D-Generation X & More

The latest edition of WWE Monday Night Raw for October 22, 2018 took place at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, RI.

Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who may have missed it:

— Roman Reigns starts the show, saying he has to relinquish the Universal Championship, as he's struggling with a battle against leukemia that he's suffered from for over a decade. This isn't part of the storyline. It's the truth, and it's awfully sad.

— Finn Balor defeated Bobby Lashley by pinfall

— Sasha Banks defeated Ruby Riott defeated Sasha Banks by pinfall/submission

— D-Generation X cut a promo about how they're coming to Crown Jewel not out of fear, but to kick The Brothers of Destruction's asses. Kane and The Undertaker appear in a video on the TitanTron, symoblically throwing dirt into graves meant for Triple H and Shawn Michaels, with tombstones of their birthdates and November 2, 2018 as their demise.

— Paul Heyman praises Roman Reigns, calling him the best and bringing attention to his courage and other positive things. The discussion then turns to Crown Jewel, as Brock Lesnar will face Braun Strowman to crown the new universal champion. Heyman asserts that Lesnar is the only man worthy of being the next in line, which prompts Strowman to come out. Solidifying his babyface turn, Strowman says after he beats Lesnar, Reigns will be the first in line for a title shot. Out of nowhere, Drew McIntyre nails Strowman with a Claymore. After the break, he tells Charley Caruso that he's not a child who looks under his bed for monsters and he's not worried about the repercussions, as that was a swift kick of reality to Strowman.

— Elias defeated Apollo Crews by pinfall. After the match, Elias tries again to sing, but he's interrupted by Baron Corbin, who says there's no time for him and that if Stephanie McMahon didn't like Elias, he'd fire him. Corbin cuts his mic. Elias leaves, but comes back to hit Corbin with a guitar.

— Ronda Rousey and Nikki Bella have a contract signing for their Raw Women's Championship match at Evolution.

— Ember Moon defeated Nia Jax, Tamina Snuka, and Dana Brooke in a Fatal 4-Way match after pinning Tamina

— Alicia Fox and Mickie James jump Trish Stratus and Lita during an interview. Lita and Trish fight back and wind up standing tall at the end of the attack.

— Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins defeated Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre by pinfall to win the Raw Tag Team Championship with some help from interference by Braun Strowman
