Preview & Predictions for WWE RAW:
On tap for tonight's episode, we've got the fallout from WWE WrestleMania 41. Nothing at all concrete has been announced as of this preview being written ahead of time other than Adam Pearce's plug that both Jey Uso and John Cena will be in the house after winning their respective world titles.
Of course, WWE isn't going to have an episode that only features their promos, so either matches will be announced very quickly before the show starts, or WWE is assuming everyone will tune in anyway and it doesn't matter to advertise the matches in advance. Typically, that means those matches are either surprises, or that they won't really matter in the grand scheme and are there to fill in some time between all the video packages recapping WrestleMania and the promos from people like Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman, follow-ups on the Women's World Championship and Women's Tag Team Championship situations now that Iyo Sky retained her title and Becky Lynch returned to join Lyra Valkyria in winning the tag titles.
We'll likely see more out of the story with El Grande Americano, likely pivoting away from Rey Mysterio a bit since he's injured. Speaking of Mysterio, Dirty Dom pinning Finn Balor to win the Intercontinental Championship will no doubt be addressed and should lead to some major tension within The Judgment Day, while Bron Breakker will probably seek a rematch to get his belt back.
The New Day won the World Tag Team Championship on WrestleMania Saturday, too. While we'll get some happy celebration time with Jey Uso for his world heavyweight title win, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods aren't going to receive the same positive reception in comparison.
The Raw after WrestleMania sometimes features some surprising NXT call-ups, returns, and debuts of WWE Superstars, so there's no telling what we're in store for tonight!
Here are your results for WWE Monday Night Raw April 21, 2025:
- John Cena opened the show with a promo about how the fans are awful and that he's got 27 dates left (not matches, just appearances in total) and once those are done, he's going to do what he's been saying and take the title with him. Randy Orton appeared from behind and gave him an RKO to end the segment, clearly setting up a title match for Backlash in St. Louis.
- Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez defeated Becky Lynch & Lyra Valkyria (c) by pinfall to win the titles back after losing them at WrestleMania!
- Promo: The New Day touted their World Tag Team Championship win from WrestleMania over The War Raiders. Alpha Academy came out to put their names in the hat for a title shot, as they had beaten The New Day relatively recently. Before a match could start, Rusev made his return and took out Otis and Akira Tozawa as Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods retreated.
- Backstage, Finn Balor said that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas and kept up the facade that he's not upset at Dominik Mysterio pinning him at WrestleMania to win the Intercontinental Championship as they celebrate that and Liv and Raquel winning back the women's tag titles.
- Promo: Iyo Sky said WrestleMania was the best night of her career. Now that she won, nobody will ever forget her. She is The Genius of the Sky, and she is the women's world champion. Stephanie Vaquer then came out to congratulate her, but also challenge her to a match, which Iyo accepted.
- ONGOING - Iyo Sky vs Stephanie Vaquer
- TBD - Jey Uso will appear
