On tap for tonight's episode, Roman Reigns defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Penta; Chad Gable puts the Intercontinental Championship on the line against Dragon Lee; Je'Von Evans, Austin Theory and Big Cass collide in a Men's Money in the Bank qualifying match; and Raquel Rodriguez, NXT Women's Champion Kelani Jordan and Lola Vice battle in a Women's Money in the Bank qualifying match.
When it comes to the two Money in the Bank qualifiers, I'm perplexed by Kelani Jordan was inserted into Lola Vice's Raw debut. Did WWE really think that they couldn't possibly use Maxxine Dupri, Ivy Nile, or any other women in that role? Strange. Raquel could win, but I'm going to assume Vice gets the nod and pins Jordan. The Evans, Theory, and Cass match strikes me as the type of match where despite Cass being the "unstoppable" guy right now and Theory being a tag team champion in the top stable, I could see Evans winning by pinning Theory due to some shenanigans. It would be a mistake if Evans wasn't in the ladder match.
I don't anticipate any title changes taking place tonight. Not only did we just have a bunch with Sami Zayn on SmackDown and the Triplemania stuff, but Dragon Lee beating Chad Gable at this point in time doesn't feel like the endgame for that story at all, and if you're going into the Penta match against Roman Reigns thinking there's a chance Roman is going to be dethroned, I hope you enjoy the ride of that blissful ignorance before it all comes crashing down, as Penta's not walking out with that belt—though he should put up a good effort, for sure.
