Preview & Predictions for WWE NXT Heatwave 2025:

On tap for tonight's event, Blake Monroe and Jordynne Grace have their one-on-one. I think I speak for most people when I say this wasn't exactly what I pictured either of them doing, and it's still strange for me that neither are the champion and that we're doing a Piggie James type angle in 2025. Grace continues to lose all the time in NXT, so there's no reason for me to believe she'll win here. I fully expect this to be some situation where Grace "clearly should've won" but gets caught in some sort of roll-up or Monroe puts her foot on the ropes or something to keep this god-awful feud continuing.

I would be extremely surprised if Jacy Jayne dropped the TNA Knockouts World Championship to Ash by Elegance or Masha Slamovich so soon after becoming a double champion. If she does, it'll be as a byproduct of interference, but I just expect Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx—despite all the in-fighting—to simply help Jayne retain. The simplest tried and true booking is more often than not the result.

Jaida Parker, Kelani Jordan, and Lola Vice fight it out to determine who fights Jayne next for the NXT Women's Championship. This depends on where they want to go with the title picture, but I think Parker is the least likely option to win. Jordan and Vice are more easily set up for softball retentions to keep the belt on Jayne, and Parker is still acting like a heel. Then again, Parker was replaced by Lash Legend in this week's backstage bickering segment, so what's going on there?

Does DarkState dethrone Hank and Tank for the tag titles? Probably. But it's weird to me to put the tag titles on two members of a four person squad. Maybe they just Freebird Rule it and declare that all four are champions?

Tavion Heights and Tyra Mae Steele should win the mixed tag team match. It's the logical course for them to come out on top and for Heights to earn a North American Championship opportunity, which he then comes up short for.

Lastly, I think it's time Oba Femi dropped the NXT Championship. Not that I think he's been a bad champion, but I think prediction-wise that it's time WWE is going to pull the trigger on having him lose without being pinned in his Triple Threat match. For the past few years, WWE has been VERY insistent on booking title changes where someone loses, they wait a bit, come back around to a rematch, and then, they win the belt. It seems like Triple H and Shawn Michaels prefer to book that 9 times out of 10 - almost like they're stuck in "HBK lost at WrestleMania 11 and won at WrestleMania 12" mode. Femi and Evans have all fought numerous times, and I'm guessing they're just circling back to putting the belt on Evans. If not, then I'm wondering why they feel the need to keep going back to this just to perpetually have Evans continue to lose.
