Preview & Predictions for WWE NXT:
On tap for tonight's episode, Trick Williams is going to call out Oba Femi. This promo segment will definitely end up involving Je'Von Evans at some point, as those three have been at odds with each other for the past several weeks. Considering how easily they've gotten into fights, it's worth predicting they'll do that again here, too, and that it will once again be teased that Darkstate has something in mind, though it's doubtful they'll actually go on the attack. More than likely, Darkstate is being led by Trick Williams (or at least, that's what's been hinted at), so don't be shocked if they only make that known at WWE Stand & Deliver by helping him win the title. Do expect here, though, for a match to be announced for the NXT Championship for that show.
Speaking of championships, Ricky Saints is challenging Shawn Spears for the North American title. It's so quick into Saints' career in NXT, and so soon after Spears won the title, that it'd be shocking if the belt changed hands. That's especially true with Ethan Page hovering around the scene, as this could end up in a Triple Threat scenario in some fashion for Stand & Deliver instead.
WWE strangely hasn't announced anything else ahead of time, but after Stephanie Vaquer's successful title retention of both her championships last week, we'll probably see more from Jordynne Grace, Jaida Parker, and the others who are vying for title opportunities. We might see more from Lexis King and the Heritage Cup, Fraxiom's continued issues with one another and the tag team division settling into No. 1 contenders territory, possibly even the further breakup of Karmen Petrovic and Ashante "Thee" Adonis, and more.
Here are your results for WWE NXT April 1, 2025:
- Starting off the show, it's announced by Ava that Stephanie Vaquer proved herself to be La Primera by retaining both her titles last week, but it's better for the women's division if she vacates the Women's North American Championship. Vaquer said she'll do that if she gets to pick her challenger for the NXT Women's Championship for Stand & Deliver, so Jordynne Grace and Jaida Parker came out to argue and fight over that spot. The new champion of the vacated women's North American title will be settled in a six-woman ladder match at Stand & Deliver, with qualifying matches taking place to determine who's in that match.
- The first of those qualifying matches went down with Zaria defeating Lash Legend by pinfall.
- In the locker room, Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura got into an argument with Wes Lee, Tyriek Igwe and Tyson DuPont, setting up a match.
- Backstage, Kelani Jordan was talking to Ava about how it would be perfect to win the Women's North American title back, when Roxanne Perez showed up to say she'll win that and become a Triple Crown champion, essentially.
- The Family went over some intel about Darkstate, running down the history of Dion Lennox, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin, and Cutler James.
- Pretty Deadly gave some advice to Tank Ledger and Hank Walker about their style and whatnot. No Quarter Catch Crew made fun of how they looked.
- No Quarter Catch Crew (Myles Borne & Tavion Heights) defeated Hank Walker & Tank Ledger by pinfall.
- Trick Williams called out Oba Femi, but Je'Von Evans came out instead. Evans talked some trash about how Williams is a hypocrite and doing the same things that Carmelo Hayes did last year. Femi came out and after Evans talked about how he nearly won the Iron Survivor Challenge instead of Femi at Deadline, and how he's taken Femi out, Ava eventually interrupted to make the Triple Threat between them at Stand & Deliver official. Darkstate then attacked all three.
- In the trainer's room, Andre Chase is told he has cracked ribs and there's no timetable for a return. When he's asked if he has a ride home, he says he's all alone, but Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors come to his aid. As they leave the medical room, Jordynne Grace and Jaida Parker are fighting each other.
- Backstage in another area, Nathan Frazer was making fun of how Hank Walker and Tank Ledger don't have what it takes. Axiom tells him not to be a jerk and that he wishes that they had the same friendship as Hank and Tank. Swipe Right comes over to them and wants to know if they can measure up, so Frazer accepts the challenge. Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes then see Roxanne Perez walking by and talk about how hot she is.
- NXT Women's North American Championship Ladder Match Qualifier: Kelani Jordan defeated Roxanne Perez by pinfall.
- Ava announced that Darkstate will compete next week in a six-man tag team match against Oba Femi, Je'Von Evans, and Trick Williams.
- NXT North American Championship Match: Ricky Saints defeated Shawn Spears (c) by pinfall to win the title!
