Preview & Predictions for WWE NXT:
On tap for tonight's episode, Sol Ruca has a chance to qualify for the ladder match that will take place at WWE Stand & Deliver on WrestleMania Weekend (April 19th, to be exact) which will crown a new NXT Women's North American champion after Stephanie Vaquer vacated the title last week.
Speaking of Vaquer, she is looking to figure out who she'll defend her other title, the NXT Women's Championship, against at that event, and it seems Jordynne Grace vs. Jaida Parker will act as a sort of No. 1 contender's match. It's all possible, though, that both get added to the bout at the premium live event, so don't be shocked if this ends in a no-contest or something that results in that decision being made by La Primera.
Wes Lee goes up against Yoshiki Inamura after Inamura and his tag team partner, Josh Briggs, shared some verbal barbs with Lee, Tyriek Igwe, and Tyson Dupont last week. This could have implications for the tag team division going forward. Meanwhile, the NXT tag team champions Fraxiom are in action in a non-title match against EVOLVE's Swipe Right, Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes.
Finally, NXT champion Oba Femi will team with his two opponents at Stand & Deliver (Trick Williams and Je'Von Evans) against three members of the new Darkstate faction. Out of Dion Lennox, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin, and Cutler James, none of the names for the competitors have been settled on ahead of time, but it's doubtful the three singles stars will get along enough to come out of this with a victory.
Here are your results for WWE NXT April 8, 2025:
- Jaida Parker vs Jordynne Grace was a no-contest after Stephanie Vaquer got involved. Giulia then joined the fight as well and took out Vaquer, ending the segment by posing with the title.
- Backstage, Swipe Right had a moment with Hank Walker and Tank Ledger, calling themselves a successful tag team and telling Hank and Tank to take notes, but Hank and Tank said that they're not that desperate.
- Non-Title Tag Team Match: Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer) defeated Swipe Right (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes) by pinfall.
- In the women's locker room, Fallon Henley told Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx that Fatal Influence gets a qualifier for the NXT Women's North American Championship Ladder Match set to take place at Stand & Deliver. Henley said that obviously she's going to take it and win her title back. Jayne rejected that and said that she would have the match instead, but Nyx then said it was her and walked off, leaving Jayne and Henley to wonder what just happened.
- Women's North American Championship Ladder Match Qualifier: Sol Ruca defeated Jazmyn Nyx by pinfall.
- Giulia was quickly interviewed and asked why she attacked Vaquer. Her response was "At Stand and Deliver, no friends. Rematch!"
- The Culling (Brooks Jensen & Niko Vance) defeated Hank Walker & Tank Ledger by pinfall.
- Ricky Saints called out Ethan Page, but Lexis King came out to the ring instead. Eddy Thorpe followed, and then Wes Lee. As they all argued about who deserves a shot at the NXT North American Championship, Ethan Page then attacked Saints from behind and a brawl broke out between everyone.
- Backstage, Ava asks Stephanie Vaquer who she wants to face at WWE Stand & Deliver. Vaquer chooses all three of Giulia, Jordynne Grace, and Jaida Parker, meaning the NXT Women's Championship will be defended in a Fatal 4-Way.
- Wes Lee defeated Yoshiki Inamura by pinfall.
- Women's North American Championship Ladder Match Qualifier: Izzi Dame defeated Wren Sinclair by pinfall.
- Backstage, Ava told the women's division that they won't have a last chance qualifier for the ladder match, but she does have an idea. Roxanne Perez complained that it better not be a tag team match, as she doesn't have a partner.
- After Andre Chase started to give some advice to Uriah Connors and Kale Dixon backstage, The Street Profits also gave Hank Walker and Tank Ledger a pep talk about being themselves and announced that a gauntlet match will take place next week to determine who faces Fraxiom at Stand & Deliver.
- Six-Man Tag Team Match: DarkState (Saquon Shuars, Dion Lennox & Cutler James) defeated Oba Femi, Je'Von Evans, and Trick Williams by pinfall. Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo appeared on the TitanTron to challenge DarkState to a parking lot fight next week.
