Tonight's episode of WWE NXT (August 12, 2025) emanates out of the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida and airs at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.

Preview & Predictions for WWE NXT:
On tap for tonight's episode, there will be an eight-man tag team match where DarkState will FINALLY be fully competing (instead of being tossed into six-man tag team matches, which was WWE's only way of booking them for some reason). They will be up against the mismatched collection of the NXT champion Oba Femi, the TNA world champion Trick Williams, the guy who will fight Williams for a chance to fight Femi (Je'Von Evans), and TNA Wrestling's Moose, who fights Trick for the TNA World Championship in a few days at Emergence. Clearly, DarkState is going to have an advantage with the other side not being able to get along.
Nia Jax is determined to get some revenge against Lash Legend for eliminating her in the WWE Evolution battle royal. It's a battle of dominance. I'm rooting for Lash.
Jazmyn Nyx got Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne booked into a tag team match as payback for how they had her shining Jayne's titles last week. I could see Lainey Reid getting involved here if she's meant to be potentially switching into the group. That could be a stretch, though.
Wren Sinclair orchestrated Joe Hendry to be opposite Charlie Dempsey for a match tonight. Hendry likely wins. Poor Charles.
Strangely, there wasn't any follow-up last week to the Tony D'Angelo getting whacked storyline. Not enough material and no direction, or just too much other stuff on the show with no room for it? I'd imagine we're not getting much more with Luca Crusifino, either, and since Adriana Rizzo is out with an injury, that means we're just left to Stacks and his potentially forming faction with Arianna Grace (and maybe Josh Briggs?)

- Earlier today in the parking lot, NXT General Manager Ava instructed Hank Walker and Tank Ledger to not interfere in DarkState's eight-man tag team match for later. She had something in her eye, though, so they thought she was just winking at them.
- Nia Jax defeated Lash Legend by pinfall.
- Chelsea Green and The Secret Hervice were shown trying to scope out their potential competition in the women's division since Tavion Heights said he would find a woman to go up against Green.
- Joe Hendry defeated Charlie Dempsey by pinfall.
- In the women's locker room, Lola Vice said to Kelani Jordan that she wants to keep the roll that she's been on going and to turn that into a title shot. Jordan also wants to win the match tonight and get a title shot, though. Jaida Parker then approached both and said she's got money on them winning the tag team match, but she is the one who is next in line for the title, not either of them.
- Yoshiki Inamura and Josh Briggs got into a fight in the ring following a promo from Briggs.
- Jordynne Grace was interviewed about the Blake Monroe situation. Grace said that Monroe suffers from the same self-esteem issues as Grace, but tries to stand taller by tearing other people down instead, and she'll learn a lesson about that at Heatwave.
- In a different interview segment, Fallon Henley interrupted Jacy Jayne (which upset the champ, who is still mad at Jazmyn Nyx for setting up her tag team match). Lainey Reid sucked up to Jayne some more by wishing her good luck.
- In the men's locker room, Oba Femi was marginally able to get Moose, Trick Williams, and Je'Von Evans on the same page for later.
- Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan defeated Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne & Fallon Henley with Jazmyn Nyx) by pinfall.
- Jasper Troy had a vignette hyping up his match next week against Ricky Saints, saying that people like Saints are given everything in life and he can't stand them.
- Alba Fyre defeated Kendal Grey by pinfall. It turns out Tavion Heights' pick was actually Tyra Mae Steele, who wipes out The Secret Hervice and even Ethan Page.
- Ava informed Fatal Influence that they have a six-woman tag team match next week against The Elegance Brand and that Jayne will be in a Triple Threat at Heatwave with the TNA Knockouts title on the line against Ash by Elegance and Masha Slamovich.
- Eight-Man Tag Team Match: DarkState (Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Saquon Shugars & Cutler James) defeated Oba Femi, Trick Williams, Je'Von Evans and Moose by pinfall. After the match, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger attacked DarkState and they brawled to end the show.
