Preview & Predictions for WWE NXT:
On tap for tonight's episode, there will be a contract signing between Joe Hendry and Trick Williams for their TNA World Championship match set to go down at the next premium live event, WWE Battleground (May 25, 2025). As those always follow the same formula, they will both cut promos about how they're going to beat the other person until ultimately someone takes the first swing, they fight, and someone goes through the table. If it's at the beginning of the show, there's also a good chance someone else gets involved and it leads to an announcement of an impromptu tag team match going down either tonight or next week. Rarely does WWE ever do anything different from this with contract signing segments.
Last week, Myles Borne won the battle royal to become the new No. 1 contender for the NXT Championship. Charlie Dempsey tried to steal that title opportunity for himself, only for Borne to stand his ground and volunteer Dempsey to face Oba Femi in a non-title match on tonight's episode. Dempsey was immediately upset about this, but still has an opportunity to prove himself (even though he's going to lose).
In a backstage segment last week, Wes Lee said that Tony D'Angelo wasn't entered into the battle royal because he doesn't have anyone left in The Family to back him up. That's precisely what's going to happen in their match tonight, as Lee has Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont by his side, while The Don has no one. Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo betrayed him, Luca Crusifino was written off television with an implied hit job, and Adriana Rizzo was also taken off screen by "going into hiding." D'Angelo is definitely losing this match due to some sort of interference.
Here are your results for WWE NXT May 13, 2025:
- Myles Borne started the show with a promo about winning the battle royal last week. He talked about his disability and how he wants to be judged not on that, but on his abilities, and how he's the underdog, but shocked the world last week and can do it again. Ethan Page came out to goad Borne into putting his title shot on the line, which Ava made official for later.
- Oba Femi defeated Charlie Dempsey by pinfall.
- Backstage, Tatum Paxley went into a frenzy because she's upset over seeing Karmen Petrovic and Thea Hail bonding, while her teammates Gigi Dolin and Shotzi Blackheart (and her husband, Javier Bernal, but that's off-screen) were released last week.
- Wes Lee defeated Tony D'Angelo by pinfall due to some distraction from Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo on the TitanTron paying a visit to Adriana Rizzo's safehouse. Later, D'Angelo went there and was jumped by Stacks, who promises to end him at Battleground.
- Stephanie Vaquer cut a promo about Jordynne Grace, but was quickly interrupted by Fatal Influence's Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne (without Jazmyn Nyx), who talked trash about not just Vaquer, but each other as well (since they've been arguing a lot lately). Jordynne Grace then joined them and everyone took some jabs at each other.
- Backstage, Bubba Ray Dudley and The Undertaker talked to Zena Sterling and Tyra Mae Steele about the finals of LFG taking place this weekend and how they'll have their work cut out for them once they join the NXT roster. Izzi Dame, Nikkita Lyons, Lash Legend, Lola Vice and others came over to intimidate them.
- Myles Borne defeated Ethan Page by pinfall to keep his title shot at Battleground for himself.
- In the locker room, Ashante "Thee" Adonis told Je'Von Evans that he'd beat him as well as "Super" Sean Legacy, who had put out a challenge to Evans. Ricky Saints overheard this and decided he'd face the winner of that Triple Threat match at Battleground and put his North American Championship on the line.
- Thea Hail beat Tatum Paxley by disqualification as Paxley kept trying to gouge Hail's eyes out and had to be pulled off her by officials.
- Kelani Jordan challenged ZARIA to a rematch next week with the idea in mind being that if she wins, she gets a Women's North American Championship match against Sol Ruca at Battleground.
- Joe Hendry and Trick Williams had their contract signing in a pre-taped vignette.
- Shawn Spears told Josh Briggs that he's a cancer to relationships. Briggs is backed up by Hank Walker and Tank Ledger, possibly setting up a match for next week.
- Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors requested a tag team match for next week. Ava told them they're up against a returning OTM.
- Jordynne Grace and Stephanie Vaquer defeated Fatal Influence by pinfall. Grace pinned Jayne and had a stare-off with Vaquer post-match for quite some time.
- Ricky Saints was attacked by Ethan Page backstage to end the show.
