Preview & Predictions for WWE NXT:
On tap for tonight's episode, Tony D'Angelo and Myles Borne battle to determine who will challenge NXT Champion Grayson Waller at Halloween Havoc. The 2026 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic enters the quarterfinals as NXT Tag Team Champions The Vanity Project face Chazz "Starboy" Hall and Mini Vikingo, while Fraxiom battles Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno. Saquon Shugars will also go one-on-one with Tristan Angels.
Myles Borne is a heel, so he'll assuredly lose the No. 1 contender's match due to Tavion Heights interfering to cost him. That opens the door for Tony D'Angelo, the babyface who Grayson Waller dethroned to become champion, to face Waller and have his rematch, which I'm expecting D'Angelo will lose.
Shugars and Angels is a 50/50 split. I honestly have no idea. Flip a coin.
Regarding the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic matches, I fully expect Swipe Right to beat Starboy and Mini Vikingo, but only due to distractions and interference after a hard-fought match, and I would be lying if I said I felt strongly one way or another about Fraxiom or Dar and Moreno. It makes more sense to me to give it to the true NXT team with Moreno and Dar coming out on top, but there have been some interesting twists in this tournament so far, so Fraxiom might not be in a position to just be main roster talent who loses, even though that is typically their role whenever someone from Raw or SmackDown comes down to NXT in this kind of capacity.
Here are your results for WWE NXT - October 13, 2026:
- Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Quarterfinals: NXT Tag Team Champions The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes) defeated Mini Vikingo and Chazz "Starboy" Hall by pinfall. Hall and Vikingo came close to pulling off the upset with a series of high-flying attacks, but Vanity Project caught Hall and finished him with Hit It And Quit It to advance to the semifinals.
- Backstage, Saquon Shugars complained to Blake Howard that he should be competing for championships rather than facing Tristan Angels. NXT Champion Grayson Waller interrupted and told Shugars that while he was talented, he did not have what it takes to reach the next level. Shugars told Waller to watch what he did against Angels and warned him that he was coming for the NXT Championship.
- Earlier in the day, Kali Armstrong confronted NXT General Manager Robert Stone about losing the previous week's No. 1 contender battle royal. Because Armstrong had eliminated AAA Reina de Reinas Champion La Catalina during the match, Stone revealed that he and AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio had agreed to give Armstrong a championship opportunity later in the night.
- Tristan Angels defeated Saquon Shugars by pinfall. Angels sent Shugars into the steel steps during the match, leaving Shugars slowed down afterward. Angels ultimately drove Shugars into the mat with a jumping knee to score the victory.
- Tony D'Angelo addressed his upcoming match with Myles Borne and mocked Borne for attacking him with a roll of quarters the previous week. D'Angelo said Borne was trying to reach a level where he already lived, called himself the "Master of Fate" and promised to decide both Borne's fate and Grayson Waller's at Halloween Havoc.
- The Culling's Izzi Dame spoke to Niko Vance about ZARIA, claiming the Women's North American Champion was hiding something beneath the image she presented to everyone. Dame said her issue had become about more than ZARIA's championship and that she intended to expose what was underneath the surface.
- Wren Sinclair came to the ring and addressed winning the NXT Women's Championship No. 1 contender battle royal while disguised as Lady Shani despite being suspended. Sinclair said she had spent much of her career overthinking situations and talking herself out of opportunities, but taking the risk last week proved she did not have to keep backing down. NXT Women's Champion Kelani Jordan interrupted and argued Sinclair's victory should not count because she had been suspended and competed under another identity. Jordan refused to accept Sinclair as her Halloween Havoc challenger. Robert Stone then announced Sinclair's suspension was over and, after polling the crowd, officially confirmed Kelani Jordan (c) vs Wren Sinclair for the NXT Women's Championship at Halloween Havoc. Jordan tried to attack Sinclair afterward, but Sinclair knocked her down and stood over her with the championship before tossing it back to Jordan.
- Backstage, Cruz Montana encouraged Lizzy Rain after her performance the previous week. Montana then received a phone call while discussing his upcoming match with Dion Lennox. Lennox attacked Montana from behind, took his phone and called Montana's mother, telling her that her son would need her after Lennox sent him back to a dark place next week.
- AAA Reina de Reinas Championship: La Catalina (c) defeated Kali Armstrong by pinfall to retain the title. Armstrong ripped away the ringside floor padding to expose the concrete, but the setup backfired when Catalina sent Armstrong crashing onto the exposed floor. Armstrong made it back into the ring, where Catalina hit a running knee to retain the championship.
- Myles Borne spoke with Wren Sinclair backstage and compared her recent actions to his own change in attitude. Sinclair rejected the comparison and called Borne's behavior selfish. Kendal Grey then arrived and revealed that she had been medically cleared to compete, with Sinclair and Grey celebrating the prospect of bringing the NXT Women's Championship back to the WrenQCC.
- EK Prosper encouraged Mini Vikingo and Chazz Hall following their Dusty Cup loss, but The Vanity Project interrupted and told them that the locker room was for winners. The confrontation resulted in Hall proposing a six-man tag team match between Prosper, Hall and Vikingo against Brad Baylor, Ricky Smokes and Jackson Drake.
- Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Quarterfinals: Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno defeated Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer and Axiom) by pinfall. After an extended back-and-forth match featuring several near falls, Dar and Moreno caught Axiom with a high-low combination to eliminate the former NXT Tag Team Champions and advance to face The Vanity Project in the semifinals.
- Blake Howard interviewed the Wagner Brothers ahead of their Dusty Cup match. BirthRight interrupted, with Uriah Connors emphasizing his fourth-generation wrestling background while Arianna Grace mocked the Wagners. Charlie Dempsey said even the best AAA had to offer would not be able to stop BirthRight.
- WWE announced Cruz Montana vs Dion Lennox, The Creed Brothers vs Hank Walker and Tank Ledger, and the Wagner Brothers vs BirthRight for next week's NXT.
- NXT Championship No. 1 Contender's Match: Tony D'Angelo defeated Myles Borne by pinfall to earn an NXT Championship match against Grayson Waller at Halloween Havoc. Borne became distracted late in the match by a hooded cameraman at ringside, allowing D'Angelo to hit Dead to Rights for the victory. After the match, the cameraman revealed himself as Tavion Heights. Heights attacked his former partner Borne, hit him with a belly-to-belly suplex and then powerbombed him through the announce table.
- As the show ended, Robert Stone returned to his office and discovered a handwritten note demanding that Danhausen be made the host of Halloween Havoc or Stone would be cursed. The lights began flickering and ominous laughter played as the broadcast went off the air.
