The October 6, 2026 episode of WWE NXT took place live at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida and aired at 8 p.m. ET on The CW Network.
Results, match winners, promo segment notes and other major developments from NXT are detailed below.
Preview & Predictions for WWE NXT:
On tap for tonight's episode, a 20-Woman Battle Royal featuring talent from NXT, Raw, SmackDown, EVOLVE, AAA and TNA will determine who challenges NXT Women's Champion Kelani Jordan at Halloween Havoc. The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic continues with Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux against Tokyo Bad Boys, plus Shido Ash and Viktor Zanov against Hank and Tank. Naraku will battle Shiloh Hill, while Zilla Fatu is coming after Lexis King.
The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic matches should be easy to call. While there was a bracket buster with Mini Vikingo and Chazz "Starboy" Hall advancing last week, the same won't apply here to Tokyo Bad Boys or Shido Ash and Viktor Zanov. Hank and Tank, at the very least, are effectively guaranteed to win. Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux MIGHT lose if the story is Legacy and DVD having issues, or DVD being replaced due to injury, but I doubt it.
Shiloh Hill should have figured out a way to neutralize the mist by now, so he'll beat Naraku.
The battle royal is hard to call. Indi Hartwell is fighting Xia Brookside the next night at TNA Bound for Glory over the Knockouts world title, so I'd expect them to be involved with each other and neither to win. The same goes for Zaria and Izzi Dame. It won't be Grace, the Elegance duo, Nile, Adelicious, or Shani. Lyons has the EVOLVE title. Volcan can lose here without "losing", as there aren't any pinfalls, so she's gone. Monroe is just coming back, so I don't see anything there. I've basically narrowed it down to Layla Diggs, Kiana James (doubtful), Lizzy Rain, Thea Hail, or Kali Armstrong. Gun to my head, I'll say it goes to Diggs I guess.
Here are your results for WWE NXT - October 6, 2026:
- Singles Match: Zilla Fatu defeated Lexis King by pinfall with the Triple Z. Fatu fought off interference from BirthRight during the match, but the faction attacked him afterward. Charlie Dempsey struck Fatu repeatedly with a steel chair before the group placed his right hand between the sections of the steel ring steps and slammed them together.
- Backstage: NXT Women's Champion Kelani Jordan spoke with Emily Agard about the battle royal and questioned whether Reina Volcan could win after attacking her last week. Chantel Monroe interrupted to declare herself the next champion, followed by Layla Diggs, who pointed out that she had never received the championship opportunity she earned before getting injured. Jordan told both women she would be ready for whoever won.
- Video Package: Dion Lennox responded to Cruz Montana's story from last week, criticizing Montana for the decisions that led to his struggles with addiction. Lennox contrasted Montana's past with his own discipline and the pressure he faced trying to succeed. He said Montana may have overcome addiction, but he would not defeat him.
- Backstage: Cruz Montana told Lizzy Rain they would find out whether Dion Lennox could back up his words. Montana also encouraged Rain ahead of the battle royal. Xia Brookside approached Montana and expressed disapproval of him supporting Rain, saying he had changed.
- Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic First Round Match: Hank Walker and Tank Ledger defeated Shido Ash and Viktor Zanov by pinfall to advance to the quarterfinals. Ash and Zanov controlled portions of the match with their judo-based offense, but Hank and Tank recovered and finished Ash with their double-team headbutt and powerslam combination.
- Backstage: BirthRight attacked Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux, leaving both men laid out and unable to compete in their scheduled Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic match against Tokyo Bad Boys. Uriah Connors and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo warned that the attack was another example of what happened to anyone who opposed their group.
- In-Ring: NXT Champion Grayson Waller discussed last week's open challenge, praised EK Prosper's performance and claimed he was restoring the prestige of the NXT Championship. Myles Borne interrupted and said he was finished worrying about the fans or Tavion Heights and wanted the only NXT championship he had never held. Tony D'Angelo then confronted both men and declared his intention to reclaim the title. Waller suggested Borne and D'Angelo face each other to determine his next challenger. Borne then punched D'Angelo with a fist loaded with a roll of quarters, knocking him down.
- Backstage: William Regal encouraged EK Prosper following his loss to Grayson Waller, telling him he had the potential to become a world champion and should not be discouraged by the defeat. NXT General Manager Robert Stone then approached Regal about replacing Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux in the Dusty Classic. Regal suggested Charlie Dempsey and Lexis King. Although Stone objected to rewarding BirthRight after their attacks, he ultimately approved the substitution.
- Singles Match: Shiloh Hill vs Naraku ended in a no contest after Naraku accidentally sprayed the referee with mist. Hill anticipated the mist and covered Naraku's mouth to prevent him from using it. When Naraku tried again, Hill ducked and the referee was struck instead, resulting in the match being stopped. Hill and Naraku continued fighting afterward as officials attempted to separate them.
- Vignette: Kendal Grey attended another therapy session and discussed blaming herself for the injury that sidelined her. She admitted that she focuses so heavily on mistakes that she struggles to appreciate her accomplishments, describing herself as her own biggest opponent. Her therapist confirmed that the three-session referral had concluded and that Grey would undergo another medical evaluation.
- Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic First Round Match: BirthRight (Charlie Dempsey and Lexis King) defeated Tokyo Bad Boys (Kento and Takuma) by pinfall to advance to the quarterfinals. BirthRight replaced Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux after attacking them earlier in the show. Kento and Takuma used their speed and aerial offense to keep the match competitive, but Dempsey eventually pinned Takuma with a bridging Regal-Plex. Afterward, Dempsey took Vic Joseph's headset and warned that Zilla Fatu, Legacy and Van Dux had all suffered for opposing BirthRight.
- Backstage: Myles Borne declared that defeating Tony D'Angelo would put him one step closer to the top of NXT and predicted he would challenge Grayson Waller for the NXT Championship at Halloween Havoc.
- Next week's NXT will feature Tony D'Angelo vs Myles Borne to determine the No. 1 contender to Grayson Waller's NXT Championship at Halloween Havoc. The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic quarterfinals will also begin with Vanity Project (Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes) vs Mini Vikingo and Chazz "Starboy" Hall, along with Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno vs Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer and Axiom). Saquon Shugars vs Tristan Angels was also announced.
- 20-Woman NXT Women's Championship No. 1 Contender Battle Royal: Wren Sinclair won by last eliminating Kali Armstrong to earn a championship match against Kelani Jordan at Halloween Havoc. Layla Diggs was eliminated early, while Zaria eliminated Izzi Dame before Dame returned to distract Zaria and allow Armstrong to eliminate her. Indi Hartwell eliminated Xia Brookside, only for Brookside to pull Hartwell out immediately afterward. Reina Volcan was eliminated by several competitors and attacked Lady Shani at ringside. Armstrong later eliminated La Catalina, Kiana James and Lizzy Rain and believed she had won, but Shani had never been officially eliminated. Shani returned to the ring, threw Armstrong over the top rope and removed her mask to reveal that she was actually the suspended Wren Sinclair, who had entered the match in disguise.
