Preview & Predictions for WWE NXT:
On tap for tonight's episode, the semifinals (and first match—it's a short tournament) round for a WWE Speed Women's Championship title shot will take place as Candice LeRae faces Xia Brookside of TNA Wrestling. The winner of that match will go on to face the winner of Lainey Reid vs. Faby Apache from AAA to determine who fights Sol Ruca for the WWE Women's Speed Championship at the next premium live event, WWE NXT No Mercy. This could go either way, as I could see Ruca against any of the four options, but I'm going to guess Brookside wins to do a courtesy to TNA.
Lash Legend will be in action against Jaida Parker. WWE has been teasing babyface turns for both of those Superstars for the past few months and have seemingly decided on keeping Legend a heel and turning Parker into a babyface. A win over Legend would likely put Parker back into No. 1 contender's discussion after Lola Vice fights Jacy Jayne, so I'm banking on Miss Parker winning.
The main event will be an eight-man tag team match with DarkState going against the rag tag group of NXT Champion Oba Femi, his next challenger Ricky Saints, and the former tag team champions Hank Walker and Tank Ledger. This is is still a more united group than when Femi teamed with Je'Von Evans, Trick Williams, and Moose, so I think DarkState has a chance to lose...albeit, not that much, still. Femi and Saints getting into it further pushes their title match, which is the priority, as winning doesn't serve a purpose to downgrade the top heel faction. Plus, Hank and Tank can take pinfall. DarkState is going to win, therefore.
Here are your results for WWE NXT - September 2, 2025:
- Lash Legend defeated Jaida Parker by pinfall. After the match, Parker got back up and threw Legend into the steel steps before sending Legend through the barricade with a Hipnotic.
- Backstage, Arianna Grace told Blake Monroe that she isn't related to Jordynne Grace, who walked into the room and caused Monroe to run off. In the process, JG pushed Kali Armstrong out of the way, so now, the WWE EVOLVE women's champion is upset with Jordynne Grace.
- Je'Von Evans went to the ring for a promo about how he's sorry he didn't win the NXT Championship from Oba Femi, and how out of sorts he's feeling since then. Josh Briggs came out (faking an Undertaker entrance at first for some heat) to belittle and badmouth Evans before attacking him.
- Speed Tournament Match: Candice LeRae defeated Xia Brookside by pinfall.
- In the locker room, Chase U chastised Josh Briggs for his attack on Evans, leading to Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors volunteering Andre Chase to fight Briggs tonight to teach him a lesson.
- Ava announced to Fatal Influence, The Culling, and ZaRuca that next week, there will be a Triple Threat tag team elimination match between them with the winning team getting a Women's Tag Team Championship match in the future.
- Josh Briggs defeated Andre Chase by pinfall. Briggs then also took out Dixon and Connors as well.
- Eight-Man Tag Team Match: Oba Femi, Ricky Saints, Hank Walker, and Tank Ledger defeated DarkState (Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Cutler James, and Saquon Shugars) by pinfall with some help from Joe Hendry.
