WWE NXT Results (September 8, 2026): Kelani Jordan vs Jaida Parker, Jackson Drake vs Tavion Heights & More

On tap for tonight's episode, Kelani Jordan defends the NXT Women's Championship against Jaida Parker; Jackson Drake defends the NXT North American Championship against Tavion Heights; and Tony D'Angelo, Mason Rook and Saquon Shugars face EK Prosper, Cruz Montana and Keanu Carver, with the members of the winning trio advancing to a Triple Threat Match next week to determine the next challenger for the NXT Championship.

Obviously, I highly doubt Kelani Jordan is going to lose her newly-won NXT Women's Championship on her first defense. However, it's not the craziest thing in the world to potentially happen. A lot about Jordan has revolved around one shot opportunities. She could have gotten her first title shot and won the belt and can also lose on her first defense. I just don't think it will happen. Sorry, Jaida.

I also don't expect Jackson Drake to lose his NXT North American Championship to Tavion Heights by any means. Myles Borne either inadvertently costs Heights or somehow has flipped enough heel to attack Heights outright. It wouldn't make sense, but that hasn't stopped pro wrestling storylines from doing that.

With the six man tag, any of them could win the eventual title shot, so that makes this difficult. I'll lean more toward D'Angelo potentially getting the easy rematch and for Prosper to take the pin in the six man tag. I think a lot of this depends on how much they want to utilize all six of them going forward, and I wouldn't assume just yet that Montana or Carver will get the title shot as those are two of the top three potentials in my mind that could dethrone Grayson Waller, so someone else should win this to fill in the gap.

Here are your results for WWE NXT - September 8, 2026:

• NXT Women's Championship Match: Kelani Jordan (c) defeated Jaida Parker by pinfall to retain the title. Parker avoided a 450 Splash late in the match and appeared close to putting Jordan away, but Jordan countered another attempt at the Hipnotic and followed with a split-legged moonsault for the victory. Wren Sinclair attacked Jordan after the bell, struck the referee who attempted to intervene and repeatedly beat Jordan with a kendo stick. Robert Stone later suspended Sinclair for her actions.
• Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno confronted Robert Stone over the Creed Brothers attacking them last week and requested a match against Julius and Brutus. Stone agreed and made the bout official for later in the show.
• Myles Borne acknowledged that paranoia may have gotten the better of him when he attacked Tavion Heights at Heatwave. Borne admitted he might owe his former partner an apology and wished Heights luck in his North American Championship match. Heights watched the message with Hank Walker and Tank Ledger but chose to focus on his title opportunity.
• Tag Team Match: The Creed Brothers (Julius Creed and Brutus Creed) defeated Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno by pinfall. Dar and Moreno pushed the former NXT Tag Team Champions throughout the match, but the Creeds eventually isolated Moreno and finished him with a double-team sit-out powerbomb.
• William Regal and Fit Finlay met with BirthRight regarding the group's recent problems with Zilla Fatu. Regal referenced his history with Zilla's father, Umaga, and instructed Charlie Dempsey to either convince Fatu to join the group or deal with him himself.
• Charlie Dempsey came to the ring and complained that he and BirthRight have been treated like jokes despite considering themselves true professional wrestlers. Dempsey argued that NXT favors athletes and former football players over people who have dedicated themselves to wrestling, then again invited Zilla Fatu to join BirthRight. Fatu acknowledged that Dempsey made some valid points about living in his father's shadow but once again rejected the invitation. BirthRight surrounded Fatu and attacked him after Uriah Connors said joining was no longer a request. Arianna Grace slapped Fatu, Lexis King struck him with a steel chair and the group ultimately powerbombed Fatu through the announce table.
• Naraku warned Shiloh Hill to stop investigating the mysterious mist. Naraku explained that Hill has already experienced the red and green varieties and threatened that continuing down this path would expose him to every other color and its different effects.
• NXT North American Championship Match: Jackson Drake (c) defeated Tavion Heights by pinfall to retain the title. Ricky Smokes interfered early by tripping Heights behind the referee's back, although Heights recovered and nearly submitted Drake with an Ankle Lock. Drake survived the challenge and eventually connected with a running knee followed by a 450 Splash for the pinfall. Myles Borne appeared in the crowd afterward, leading to an uncomfortable staredown with Heights.
• NXT Women's North American Champion Zaria celebrated her Heatwave victory and declared that the discontinued WWE Women's Speed Championship is now in the past while she intends to become the most dominant Women's North American champion in NXT history. Izzi Dame interrupted from the platform and accused Zaria of hiding her insecurities behind a facade. Thea Hail then entered and said she wanted another chance to prove she could become champion again. Zaria mocked Hail for relying on others and told her that friends always leave, prompting Hail to bring up Zaria's history with Sol Ruca. Zaria attacked Hail, but Hail fought back and trapped her in the Kimura Lock, causing Zaria to tap despite the confrontation not being an official match.
• Hank Walker and Tank Ledger encouraged Myles Borne to apologize to Tavion Heights face-to-face. With Heights having already left the building, Borne said he would make his public apology next week.
• BirthRight later presented William Regal with part of Zilla Fatu's torn shirt as proof of what they had done. The segment developed into an argument involving Vanity Project, The Creed Brothers, Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux, and DarkState as the NXT tag team division continued jockeying for position.
• Kali Armstrong complained about her recent setbacks during an interview before Lizzy Rain confronted her over Armstrong previously taking an opportunity from her. The exchange nearly became physical before officials separated them. Kali Armstrong vs Lizzy Rain was announced for next week's episode.
• Six-Man Tag Team Match: Tony D'Angelo, Mason Rook and Saquon Shugars defeated EK Prosper, Cruz Montana and Keanu Carver by pinfall. NXT Champion Grayson Waller joined commentary to watch the contenders. Near the finish, D'Angelo took control against Prosper and appeared ready to finish him when Rook tagged himself into the match. Rook then used D'Angelo as part of a running attack into Prosper before covering Prosper himself for the victory. As a result, D'Angelo, Rook and Shugars will face each other next week in a Triple Threat Match to determine the No. 1 contender for Waller's NXT Championship.
• Cruz Montana and Keanu Carver began fighting with each other on the entrance ramp after the main event. Inside the ring, Rook stared down Grayson Waller before D'Angelo confronted Rook over the way he took the winning pinfall. Shugars stepped between his two partners as the show went off the air.
