WWE officially revealed the name and date of the company's next pay-per-view event during Money in the Bank: Backlash will air live on the WWE Network next month on Sunday, June 14.
No location for the event had been announced, but that doesn't really make much difference in the current climate. Chances are WWE will still need to film most of the matches in the empty Performance Center due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. However, we can probably also expect some pre-taped "cinematic" content after the positive responses to WrestleMania's Boneyard and Firefly Fun House matches. The less said about last night Money in the Bank Ladder debacles the better.
No matches have been set for the event, but we may get a better idea of what to expect after tonight's episode of Raw.
WWE also has Extreme Rules lined up for 19 July in San Jose, California, followed by SummerSlam on 23 August from Boston, Massachusetts. It remains to be seen if fans will be allowed back into arenas by then (we'd say June is definitely off the table), so we can probably expect some changes to be announced in the coming weeks.
