On Sunday, The Bludgeon Brothers, well, bludgeoned The New Day to retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. However, the formidable team lost the titles on last night's episode of SmackDown Live and as we previously told you, that's because Erick Rowan is injured. The fact he was able to wrestle at all is a miracle, especially as WWE has now revealed details on that.

Apparently, he suffered a torn right bicep and the plan is for him to undergo surgery to repair the injury this week. We don't know how long he'll be out of action for but it's very much one of those injuries which will take months to repair, not weeks. As a result, Luke Harper's future is a mystery; will WWE choose to keep him off
TV or is the former Tag Team Champion finally getting a singles push?

Time will tell on that front but we'll no doubt learn more about the extent of Rowan's injury a little later this week. In the meantime, we obviously wish him a speedy recovery so stay tuned for updates.
