Well, it's not the response we anticipated, but WWE has made a decision about WrestleMania 36 amid ongoing coronavirus concerns.
Instead of taking place at Tampa Bay as originally planned, the show of shows has been relocated to the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida with only essential staff present. Yes, WrestleMania will go ahead this year without any fans in attendance. Here is the official statement from WWE:
“In coordination with local partners and government officials, WrestleMania and all related events in Tampa Bay will not take place. However, WrestleMania will still stream live on Sunday, April 5 at 7 pm ET on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view. Only essential personnel will be on the closed set at WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida to produce WrestleMania.”
Most of us assumed the event would be postponed until restrictions lifted, but this is certainly... another solution.
What do you guys make of WWE's decision? Let us know in the comments.
