When WWE announced plans to returning to touring last month, it was confirmed that SummerSlam will take place in front of fans this summer. However, we were never told where the PPV would be taking place, though reliable sources indicated that Las Vegas was the planned destination.
That's now been confirmed, with WWE revealing that they've chosen the City of Sin's Allegiant Stadium to host the biggest event of the summer on August 21.
A poster has also been released, putting Roman Reigns, Bobby Lashley, Bianca Belair, Sasha Banks, Drew McIntyre, Rey Mysterio, and Charlotte Flair front and centre. There's no sign of Brock Lesnar and John Cena, two Superstars who are rumoured to be key to SummerSlam this year.

STAMFORD, Conn., June 5, 2021 – WWE® (NYSE: WWE) today announced that SummerSlam will take place from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday, August 21 at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT, marking the first time the annual event has been held at an NFL stadium.
Located adjacent to the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, Allegiant Stadium is a state-of-the-art global events destination and home to the Las Vegas Raiders. SummerSlam will be one of the first sporting events held at full capacity at Allegiant Stadium with tickets on sale Friday, June 18. SummerSlam will stream live exclusively on Peacock in the United States and on WWE Network everywhere else.
