If you’ve noticed an increased television presence of 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick, it’s reportedly due to WWE officials being impressed with his 24/7 championship antics. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, officials are impressed with Maverick’s creativity as much of the former Rockstar Spud's segments on his social media are crafted by him.
On the post-Raw show, Sapp spoke about Maverick and the 24/7 championship situation, citing that Triple H is part of the reason that the 205 Live GM is getting a little push (Transcript courtesy of

“Triple H told me last week that the whole Drake Maverick push in this regard was because he started to actually put up those signs backstage at Raw and they were like, ‘That’s hilarious we’re doing this on the show.’ So that got him a little bit of a push there in that regard.”
There’s no word on whether Maverick will be given a significant push outside of the 24/7 championship, but hopefully the former Impact star will get to display how truly talented he is inside the ring as a serious wrestler someday.
