Tomorrow night, WWE Payback takes place at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The show comes just a few short weeks after SummerSlam, meaning the build has been a relatively quick one.
Despite that, the event is shaping up to be one where we could potentially see at least a couple of title changes which set the stage for WWE's upcoming Fall and Winter PLEs (the Road to WrestleMania is only a few short months away).
Here's the current card for the seventh edition of WWE Payback:
World Heavyweight Title Match
Seth "Freakin" Rollins (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
Steel Cage Match
Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus
Women's World Title Match
Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Raquel Rodriguez
Undisputed WWE Tag Team Title Steel City Street Fight
Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn (c) vs. The Judgment Day
United States Title Match
Rey Mysterio (c) vs. Austin Theory
LA Knight vs. The Miz
"The Grayson Waller Effect" with Special Guest Cody Rhodes
As great as it's been to see Zayn and Owens with the tag team titles, it might not be the worst idea in the world to now put those on Judgement Day members, Finn Balor and Damian Priest. Mami has, after all, promised there will be consequences if they don't win.
It's also been revealed that John Cena, who returns during tonight's episode of SmackDown, is expected to be Payback's guest host. We're not sure what exactly that will entail, though it wouldn't be surprising for the leader of the Cenation's next feud to be set up as he's going to be part of WWE shows for at least a couple of months.
WWE Payback will stream on Peacock in the U.S. and on the WWE Network everywhere else at 8pm. ET/5pm PT.
