In a new interview with Sports Illustrated, Conrad Thompson has revealed that WWE has pulled both The Undertaker and Kurt Angle from the Starrcast II convention. That's set to take place during the same weekend as All Elite Wrestling's Double or Nothing PPV in Las Vegas and WWE clearly wanted to avoid sending fans anywhere near that show.
Both of them were scheduled to meet fans, pose for photos, and sign autographs but that's not happening and while Thompson has been promised a suitable replacement by WWE, nothing has happened in that respect just yet.
He claims to have suggested Shawn Michaels at one point but WWE wasn't keen on the idea and they also didn't go for Vince McMahon, Stephanie, or Triple H showing up and the proceeds from their appearance going to Conor's Cure. Ultimately, it says that WWE's decision boils down to the "burgeoning war between All Elite Wrestling and WWE."
Based on this news, expect things to intensify over the coming weeks and months.
