It’s a new day, yes it is!
Tonight we celebrate the legacy of The New Day. The faction of Xavier Woods, Big E, and Kofi Kingston came together in July 2024 and reshaped the careers of all three men. The New Day became a multi-time tag team champion, but it also saw the rise of Kofi Kingston and Big E, who achieved their lifelong dream of becoming WWE Champions.
Despite all of the ups that this group has had throughout the years, The New Day has been on a downward spiral as of late. Woods and Kofi have been on a losing streak and temperaments boiled over on RAW last week following their shocking quick loss to Alpha Academy.
Tonight is supposed to be a celebration for the long standing duo, but could December 2nd mark the final time that the group stands together?
Tonight’s episode of RAW will also feature the return of CM Punk, who is coming off a massive victory against The Bloodline at Survivor Series. The most surprising development for the Chicago native was his alliance with Paul Heyman.
Will CM Punk elaborate any further on the current standing of his partnership with Paul Heyman? Or will he simply lay out his next agenda for the upcoming WrestleMania season?
And finally, the women’s Intercontinental tournament will finally begin as Dakota Kai, Katana Chance, and Shayna Baszler are set to compete in a Triple Threat match of this single elimination tournament. Shayna Baszler is the only name who’s held a singles title in WWE. In fact, Baszler once held the record for longest NXT title reign at 416 days.
Can the former NXT Women’s Champion regain her glory and become the 1st ever IC Champion? Or will Dakota Kai or Katana Chance pull off an upset victory?
Expect to see WWE World Women’s Champion Liv Morgan, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, Intercontinental Champion Damian Priest, Iyo Sky, and The Judgment Day on tonight’s show in Everett, Washington at Angel of the Winds Arena.
Below is the confirmed match card for RAW:
- Dakota Kai vs. Katana Chance vs. Shayna Baszler in a Triple Threat tournament match for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship
- Pete Dunne vs. R-Truth
- Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane vs. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez
