WWE RAW Superstar Bayley Addresses The Downside To Being On The Main Roster

Despite being one of the top stars in NXT, Bayley has struggled since arriving on the main roster as part of the RAW roster. Here, she (very diplomatically) addresses the mixed response she's been getting!

Despite being met with a thunderous response upon her WWE RAW debut, Bayley's popularity has since significantly decreased. That's a shock considering how wildly over she was in NXT and the stage was clearly being set back then for her to become one of the biggest stars in the WWE Universe.

So, what went wrong? Well, bad booking is a big part of the problem and as WWE has made the mistake of trying to get her over Daniel Bryan style with viewers by having her lose on a regular basis, that and bad promos have led to Bayley frequently being met with boos or sheer indifference from fans. Needless to say, she knows what's happening and tried to give the most diplomatic answer possible to that during a recent chat with Steve Austin.

"Me and Sasha [Banks] talk about that all the time, just like being backstage with all the politics and all those things behind it, and even coming up from NXT. It can either be a smooth ride and easy depending on what the company is looking for, or who you are or whatever, or it can be where you are in NXT for a long time and finally get there and have a big debut and then have a rough start too. It’s so different but I guess it has its pros and cons from back then until now."

It's clear to see that Bayley knows as well as us what the issue is but is having to be careful with what she says in order not to make her position within the company any worse than it already is. What the future holds in store for her remains to be seen, of course, but a move to SmackDown Live might not be the worst thing in the world at this point!

We'll just have to wait and see, but it's clear something needs to change before fans completely write her character off! Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
