Darren Young has been on the shelf since February and that cut short his and Bob Backlund's attempts to "Make Darren Young Great Again." The gimmick never really took off despite months of promos building up to the odd couple's debut on RAW and neither man has been missed on the show.

Well, a new report states that Young has now been cleared to return to action by WWE doctors. He could be back on television as soon as next week and the plan is for him to remain on the RAW brand. However, it's unclear whether or not he'll keep the same gimmick or will be repackaged with something entirely new (the latter option would definitely be preferable).

As you can see below, though, Young has spent his time off getting seriously ripped and that could help him. After all, you only need to look at what happened to Jinder Mahal when he debuted a new look as that's what Vince McMahon likes in the wrestlers he sends to the top. We'll just have to wait and see.
