WWE RAW Superstars Paige And Xavier Woods Unlikely To Be Punished After Explicit Photos/Video Leak
Last week, former WWE Divas Champion Paige was among the victims of a hack which led to a number of explicit photos and videos being shared online without her consent. However, what will the ramifications be?
Paige is currently taking time off WWE television as she deals with a neck injury, but she made the headlines last week after a number of explicit photos and videos were leaked online by a hacker. They're obviously easy enough to find online if you're curious, but the fact that one of the videos features The New Day member Xavier Woods (and former WWE employee Brad Maddox of all people) has potentially complicated matters.
It's widely believed that Paige won't return to the company when she's healed up, but Woods is one of the biggest stars on RAW and currently set to host WrestleMania alongside Big E and Kofi Kingston. However, while speculation runs rampant that he will be kept off television tonight due to RAW taking place in front of the notoriously rowdy Brooklyn crowd, Brian Alvarez has said on Wrestling Observer Live that it's unlikely either Superstar will be "punished" in any way.
That's because these private photos and videos were stolen and not published voluntarily, something which doesn't breach the "morality clause" put in the contracts of WWE Superstars. Had they for some reason published this material voluntarily, both would have likely been released from the company before today!
All things considered, neither Superstar being punished is the right thing to do as they're the victims here. As always, let us know your thoughts on this news in the comments section below.
