The reaction to the Hell in a Cell main event has not been good and fans were livid at the decision to end the bout just because Seth Rollins was attacking Bray Wyatt with a variety of weapons (something which is perfectly legal inside the demonic structure).

Now, as WWE continues attempting damage control, referee Rod Zapata has issued a statement during the latest episode of The Bump

"With Bray motionless, and Seth clearly doing whatever it was going to take to win that match…I had to think of the competitor’s safety and at that moment, I did what I thought was best." That's not going to convince the fans who are furious with WWE following the PPV or the fans who booed and chanted for "AEW" as the PPV went off the air.

Neither Rollins nor The Fiend appeared on RAW and it will be interesting seeing if WWE addresses the situation on Friday Night SmackDown.
