There had been rumblings more releases might be coming, and it's now been confirmed that eight more WWE Superstars have been cut. After B-Fab's unexpected firing during the last round of releases, the rest of Hit Row (Top Dolla, Isaiah "Swerve" Scott, and Ashante "Thee" Adonis) will join her. They debuted on SmackDown in October, but Vince McMahon clearly wasn't a fan of their gimmick.
John Morrison is perhaps the biggest name here; there was a lot of fanfare when he returned to the company in 2019, though fans were disappointed to see him immediately paired up with The Miz again. They started feuding earlier this year, but the A-Lister heading off to compete on Dancing With The Stars meant they never got to square off. It's worth noting that Morrison's wife, Franky Monet in WWE, was also released by the company earlier this month.
Tegan Nox is gone after making her main roster debut in July alongside Shotzi Blackheart. They were split up during the WWE Draft and WWE has done very little with Nox on RAW since.
After being released in 2020, Drake Maverick was brought back a few months later and has since spent most of his time trying to get his hands on the 24/7 Championship. Well, he's been released again, as has Jaxson Ryker. Once a member of the Forgotten Sons, he was paired with Elias for a time, but that never really went anywhere so we're not overly surprised he's been cut.
The reason given for these releases? Budget cuts.
