WWE Removed Jerry "The King" Lawler's Offensive Comments About Akira Tozawa From Hulu's Version Of RAW

During Monday night's episode of RAW, announcer Jerry "The King" Lawler made comments which could definitely be deemed as offensive. WWE seemingly agrees, as they've been edited out of the show...

On Monday night, there was something of an outcry on social media after RAW commentator Jerry "The King" Lawler referred to one of Akira Tozawa's moves as the "Ramen Noodle Moonsault."

Many argued that it was a racist comment that Lawler only made because Tozawa is Japanese, and it seems WWE has taken note of the complaints. On the Hulu version of RAW, the line has been completely edited out (it came when Tozawa was doing a dive off the top rope onto Austin Theory at ringside).

This isn't the first time that Lawler has made controversial remarks, as he's made similar comments about some of the company's female wrestlers and even the Coronavirus (whoever thought it was a good idea to give him a podcast clearly wasn't thinking). Now, it will be interesting seeing if WWE disciplines him in any way.

As it's not overtly racist, it's probably something he can get away with...plus, it's probably a line Vince McMahon thought was an absolute riot!
