WWE Reportedly Had Huge Plans For Three Iconic Superstars At WRESTLEMANIA 40 - SPOILERS

With Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson back in WWE, this year's WrestleMania will be a big one.

Night 1 of the Show of Shows will see the Brahma Bull team up with Roman Reigns to battle Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. On Night 2, the American Nightmare sets out to finish his story when he clashes with the Tribal Chief for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Now, it sounds like the Showcase of the Immortals is getting even bigger with the addition of three WWE icons: Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, and John Cena.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer says, "Nothing is official, but the belief right now is that Steve Austin, Undertaker, and John Cena will have something at WrestleMania in some form."

We wouldn't anticipate any of them competing in matches, but a promo segment or something along those lines would be a blast (similar to when The Rock, Hulk Hogan, and the Texas Rattlesnake opened WrestleMania 30).

Of course, we can't help but hope Austin ends up coming face-to-face with The Rock, perhaps delivering one more Stone Cold Stunner to his old rival.

Talking recently about a possible WrestleMania return, Austin said, "A year away in this business goes like that. So in the future, I’m not lobbying for it, but could anything happen? Yes. Because I always say never say never."

"Dallas was set up for Stone Cold to return," he said of his last match at the Show of Shows. "The way we had framed that with KO [Kevin Owens] who I love, was perfect for the time and setting. For this match to play out, I really needed to perform at a high level. And I didn’t work out before 38. I hadn’t thrown a working punch in 19 years."

"I was Killing KO out there, I truly was. Ask him. And I told him when we went to the back ‘Man I can’t believe you didn’t throw a receipt.’ And he laughed because his job was to take care of me."
