According to Rajah, former WWE Champion Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley) told both Vince McMahon and Triple H that he was intending to step away from the ring for a year after leaving WWE to “heal his body and his brain”.

Back when Jon Moxley made his debut for All Elite Wrestling at Double or Nothing, reports surfaced that Vince McMahon was genuinely shocked that the former Shield member showed up at his rivals’ promotion.

Before Moxley officially left the company back in April, speculation regarding the former WWE Champion’s exit from the company stemmed from his unhappiness due to the creative process, a rumor that the IWGP United States Champion confirmed when he spoke to Chris Jericho on his podcast.

However, WWE Higher-ups were unaware of Moxley’s intent to leave the company for good and actually made plans for his return at the 2020 Royal Rumble. There’s no word on what officials had in mind for the former WWE Champion on the big pay-per-view event.
