WWE Reportedly Has No Problem With Matt Riddle's Online Shots At Hall Of Famer Bill Goldberg

For months now, NXT Superstar Matt Riddle has been taking shots at Bill Goldberg via his social media accounts. While you might think that's resulted in some backstage heat, it turns out WWE is fine with it...

Even if you don't watch NXT, there's a very good chance you've heard of Matt Riddle and that's probably because he's been making a name for himself online trolling Bill Goldberg and vowing to retire Brock Lesnar. Well, after Riddle described a tense backstage interaction with Goldberg at SummerSlam this weekend, some details about WWE's thoughts on this "feud" have now been revealed.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, everything he's been saying about Goldberg online has not only been approved but is probably being encouraged as well.

They view the posts as a good way for Riddle to get attention and while it seems unlikely they'll have a match, that could be something WWE considers down the line. For that to happen, though, Riddle would have to be called up to the main roster and he he would have to be built up a little in the eyes of fans beforehand.

Well, unless Bill is willing to appear at the next NXT TakeOver, of course...
